Picture the historic Victoria Harbour. The Victoria Harbour separates the Kowloon Peninsula and the Hong Kong Island. Its deep water and location had been integral in the establishment of the British Colony and its development soon after.
Known for its famous views, it has been a major tourist attraction in Hong Kong. The harbour also displays annual fireworks displays and Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade is a great place to meet and gather tourists. The Victoria Harbour has been the lifeline of Hong Kong.

What to do in Victoria Harbour? Take a ride in the ferries from Star Ferry Pier. Since the Victoria Harbour gives a great panoramic views of the Hong Kong Skyline both day and night, you can take a ride on the ferries that go around the harbour. You may also watch the Symphony of Lights and the fireworks displays during your ferry rides.
Best locations to view the Victoria Harbour:
- The Peak
Get your “postcard” shot of the the Victoria Harbour. Best views pretty much every night when all the lights from the nearby city skylines reflect the harbour’s waters. - The Ferry Rides
Best views while on the water. Night time offers well-lit buildings and the light shows.
- The Sky 100
The panoramic views of the Victoria Harbour are even more spectacular from a bird’s eye view. Sky 100 is located in the International Commerce Center (ICC) in 100th floor Observation Decks. - Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade
At the ground level, it gives you again, that “postcard” view of the Hong Kong Skyline and the Victoria Harbour. If you feel like having the view to yourself, it is suggested to come early morning when the sun’s at your back while sharing the promenade with few joggers running across the promenade’s path. - Avenue of Stars
It is the Hong Kong version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is located within the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade. Along the stretch, you can see the Bruce Lee Statue, and an equally picturesque view of the Victoria Harbour.
