Keep your pom-poms and watch the most awaited World Rugby Series. Hong Kong Sevens is considered as the premiere tournament on the rugby sevens competition, and is the sixth tournament by the IRB (International Rugby Board) Sevens World Series. The tournament is usually held during March and spans for three days, which starts on Friday and ends on Sunday.
The Hong Kong Sevens enticed Asian and Pacific countries to participate, forming the first Hong Kong Sevens Tournament, which attracted commercial sponsorships. This is the most prestigious annual rugby sport tournament organized by IRB Sevens World Series (officially known as the HSBC Sevens World Series).
The Sevens Series was organized to develop competition series between rugby nations. The teams compete for the Sevens World Series by accumulating points based on the position at the end of each series. The Champion will be the team with the most points and highest position at the end of the nine series.
