Now, whether you are a rugby fan or not, who wouldn’t want to enjoy and participate in the adrenaline-pumping, fast-paced game, and shouting fans on the bleachers?
Keep your pom-poms and watch the most awaited World Rugby Series. Hong Kong Sevens is considered as the premiere tournament on the rugby sevens competition, and is the sixth tournament by the IRB (International Rugby Board) Sevens World Series. The tournament is usually held during March and spans for three days, which starts on Friday and ends on Sunday.

The Hong Kong Sevens enticed Asian and Pacific countries to participate, forming the first Hong Kong Sevens Tournament, which attracted commercial sponsorships. This is the most prestigious annual rugby sport tournament organized by IRB Sevens World Series (officially known as the HSBC Sevens World Series).
The Sevens Series was organized to develop competition series between rugby nations. The teams compete for the Sevens World Series by accumulating points based on the position at the end of each series. The Champion will be the team with the most points and highest position at the end of the nine series.
It has been a fun event and sure is going to be exciting. Some fans suggested when you do get to join Hong Kong Sevens to:
- Dress up as outrageous as possible, the crazier, the better.
- Plan your trip. Tickets can be ridiculously high during the season. If possible, pay before the seasons starts to get it cheaper, unless you don’t mind paying a bit higher. Also, if you have friends in Hong Kong, they can buy the ticket for you. You just need to plan your airfare.
- It basically is one big outdoor party. You don’t need to be a rugby fan to join the festive atmosphere.
- Get a seat at the South Stand.
Each day gets a build up until the finals. It is one crazy weekend-long outdoor party at Hong Kong Sevens.
