Ocean Park, Hong Kong

The Hong Kong’s Ocean Park is recognized as the top theme park in the world and was given in 2012 “Applause Award" by International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. It is a major attraction in the south end of Hong Kong Island. It features amazing animal exhibits, thrilling rides, entertainment, and educational shows that will give you a remarkable and world class experience.
Ocean Park is partitioned into two main attraction areas, namely the Waterfront and the Summit. To start the trip from the Waterfront, the Grand Aquarium in the Aqua City will amaze you. Some 5,000 fish in over 400 species are up for viewing. Enjoy the beautiful night time show in the Lagoon and watch fireworks, lighting, and sound effects which illustrates the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. You can also visit the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures and see the two giant pandas, An An and Jia Jia.

In going to the Ocean Park's Summit, you can do two ways aside from using Ocean Park Escalators: the cable car and the Ocean Express. The cable car ride is one great thrilling adventure that will show you a scenic aerial view of beaches such as Deep Water Bay, Repulse Bay, and Middle Island that gives you a feeling of excitement and fun while the Ocean Express will give you a fantastic and quick journey from Ocean Park's Waterfront going to the Summit.

In the Summit, you will be greeted by five different attractions that you will never disregard: the Rainforest, Marine World, Thrill Mountain, Adventure Land and Polar Adventure . There are lots of things that you can try there, from light fun adventure to some daredevil rides like Hair Raiser, The Flash, The Rapids, Rev Booster, Expedition Trail Eagle, Crazy Galleon, The Dragon, Space Wheel, Mine Train, The Abyss, and Whirly Bird, among others that will fuel your day with much more fun.
A day in the Ocean Park will not be over without craving for food. Variety of shops offering Chinese and western foods are available depending on your taste buds. Park tables and chairs are available for everybody to relax or have some foods while enjoying nature and the bulk of people going around laughing and some are screaming from their wild adventure.
And to retire for a day, a train ride with Ocean Express is best enjoyed going back to the main area of the Park. Surely it will be a more exciting, thrilling, and fun as the Ocean Park adventure gives you a world class experience.
